| The Governor's Task Force on Faith-Based Community Service Groups wisely recommended: "Urge faith-based programs to form, on a private, association basis, a peer self-study and accrediting process to identify best practices and performance standards, support training technical assistance initiatives, etc." The Therapon Institute was established to do that. We have established The Therapon Institute to help develop and preserve the integrity, value, and reputation of Christian, faith-based counseling as a necessary part of the healing process. |

Now it is time for those of us who believe in faith-based, Christian counseling to do our part, i.e., initiate the Task Force's recommendation that we establish our own faith-based certification and accrediting entity. |
